Mother of Peace Wish List
Mother of Peace is always in need of your help. We have tried to cluster all the items we could use in sets of necessities. Donations are very welcome both in goods and in money (so that we can buy the things listed ourselves). Sponsors that are interested in helping us by sponsoring some of the items on our wish list, or require more detailed information about one of the items can contact Vicky on 031 - 916 22 99 - vicky@motherofpeace.org.za. If you have something to offer other than the items you find on this list, she would like to hear it as well!
Housing
MoP currently has 10 houses that have been upgraded to house 6 children and a house mother per house. In order to meet our objectives a further 10 houses would need to be renovated. Besides people to help us build (see our housing project), we need building materials and things to decorate and furnish the houses.

Housekeeping
The housemothers and the general supporting staff of MoP are in need of materials to help them to feed the children and dress them properly. Since MoP is expanding rapidly these items are urgently needed!
- 2 X Top Loader Washing Machines 11KG or 13 KG
- Cleaning Equipment – Brooms, Mops, Buckets
- Irons and Kettles
- Pressure Sprayer
- 3 x stove
- 4 x fridge
- Trolley – for distributing food
Education
We try to give our children to best education possible, but every year it is difficult to pay all the school fees, get everyone dressed in a proper well-fitting uniform and provide them with enough stationary. See also our education project.

Transportation
At the moment MoP had two vans and two drivers to transport children to school and to the hospital, and to transport food and goods. As the MoP community grows and children attend a wider variety of schools, fitting their level and needs, we need an additional vehicle and a trailer for transportation. We could also use an extra driver!

Sustainability
MoP would like to become more self sufficient in the future. Our chicken project and vegetable projects are good examples of that (link to chicken project and Vegetable project). In the future we would like to add more fruit trees for own use and income through sale.Situated where we are, Mother of Peace Illovo is fortunate to have at its disposal, land that can be further developed agriculturally in order to assist in raising funds, thereby making us more self sufficient.

Office
For our office we also need supplies to maintain a professional level of supporting the organization.

With our sponsor a child or sponsor a home program we try to cover the general costs to feed and clothe the children and give them a basic education. Anything extra that is needed for a specific child, such as special medical care, extra lesson or special education, also has to come from this program.
