Not everyone can foster a child in need. Anyone can help, however.
We at Mother of Peace survive on small donations, people like you who continue to help the children in our care. We currently have 70 children resident with us, in family units made up of six children and a house mother. All of these children need to be sheltered, fed, clothed, cared for medically and put through school. A number of our children are either HIV positive or have full blown AIDS.
You can help by sponsoring either one of these children. Sponsoring a child means that you provide for some of their needs by donating a set amount of money each month.
While the financial needs of each child vary according to their own individual set of circumstances, the average cost can be calculated at about R750 per child per month. This does not mean that if you cannot afford R750 per month you cannot help! We would be grateful for whatever contribution you can make, however small.
How does it work?
Your donation will ensure part of the living costs (food, clothing, schooling, medical care, electricity & water and house mother’s salary) are covered.
You can make a monthly, quarterly, annual or single once off payment.
