Mother of Peace Communities, Illovo Durban
At Mother of Peace Illovo we currently provide homes for over 70 children. And thanks to the generous contributions of our unsung heroes we hope to grow further still. The children live in family units made up of six children and a house mother – this provides much needed stability
and a sense of family living. Children are blessed with food, clothing, medical care and schooling.
We care for these vulnerable children, and endeavour to maintain language and cultural identities. Our goal is to bring them up as responsible members of society and provide palliative care to those who are terminally ill - A number of our children are either HIV positive or have full blown AIDS.
